Role Overview 

The Student Recruitment Coordinator will lead enrollment efforts for Flourish Schools in Nashville, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. This position requires someone who can build authentic relationships with families, navigate Tennessee's ESA voucher system, and execute grassroots community engagement strategies. The role demands someone comfortable working independently in the field, engaging families at elementary schools, community centers, churches, and family activity locations throughout the Madison and East Nashville areas. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment campaigns targeting families with children entering grades 5-8 

  • Establish partnerships with community organizations, churches, and family centers in Madison, Goodlettsville, and East Nashville 

  • Help families navigate the ESA application process, ensuring they understand funding timelines and requirements for the December 1 deadline 

  • Build relationships with administrators and staff at charter schools including Rocketship, Valor, and other local schools 

  • Organize and lead school tours for prospective families 

  • Track all family interactions and conversion metrics 

  • Coordinate with leadership to adjust strategies based on enrollment data 

  • Maintain detailed records of all recruitment activities, family contacts, and enrollment pipeline status 

  • Ensure follow-up with interested families within 24 hours of initial contact 

  • Conduct outreach at elementary schools during drop-off and pick-up times, including MNPS schools 

Required Qualifications 

  • At least two years of experience working in an elementary school setting with demonstrated relationships with parents and families 

  • Proven experience in community outreach, parent engagement, or student recruitment with a track record of meeting measurable targets 

  • Knowledge of Tennessee's education landscape, particularly the ESA voucher program, EFS experience, and school choice options 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect authentically with diverse families across economic backgrounds 

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple recruitment sites, track hundreds of family contacts, and maintain detailed pipeline reports 

  • Availability for early morning school drop-off times, evening community events, and weekend activities during peak recruitment seasons (October through January) 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Established relationships with families in Madison, Goodlettsville, or East Nashville communities 

  • Experience with micro-schools, charter schools, or innovative education models 

  • Previous success in sales roles with demonstrated ability to manage CRM systems, maintain pipelines, and consistently drive toward measurable goals 

  • Bilingual capability in Spanish and English for engaging Nashville's diverse population 

  • Familiarity with project-based learning or experiential education approaches 

  • Previous success in enrollment management, particularly in startup or growing schools 

Performance Expectations 

  • Achieve enrollment of 200 students by April 30, 2026 

  • Maintain a conversion rate of at least 10% from initial contact to enrolled student 

  • Conduct outreach at a minimum of 20 locations per week during peak recruitment seasons 

  • Generate at least 100 qualified family leads monthly 

  • Secure 25% of new enrollment through parent referrals by end of first year 

  • Ensure 100% of interested families receive ESA application support before annual deadlines

Base Salary & Performance Incentives 

This position offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, with substantial earning potential through our performance-based bonus structure. The compensation model is designed to reward exceptional recruitment outcomes, with bonus opportunities that can significantly increase total compensation based on enrollment achievements. Quarterly and annual performance bonuses are tied directly to enrollment milestones, conversion rates, and retention metrics, with accelerators for exceeding targets. Top performers who surpass enrollment goals can expect bonus earnings of 40-60% above base salary, creating a total compensation package that reflects the critical importance of this role to our organization's growth.
