Flourish is a growing network of private microschools across the greater Phoenix area serving students in grades 3–8. We believe school should be more human, more joyful, and more intentional. Our small campuses use project-based and skills-focused learning to build curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and genuine student ownership. Role Overview 

We're looking for an Assistant Guide to join the team at our Maricopa campus. You'll work alongside our Lead Guides, supporting students throughout the school day in a close-knit, dynamic learning environment.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role. You won't be grading worksheets in the back of the room — you'll be in the thick of it, helping students work through real projects, navigate challenges, and build the skills they'll carry far beyond middle school.

Key Responsibilities 

• Support Lead Guides throughout the school day across instructional and non-instructional activities

• Work directly with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning

• Help facilitate project-based learning activities and keep students on track

• Build genuine relationships with students and contribute to a positive, growth-oriented campus culture

• Assist with classroom logistics, transitions, and day-to-day campus operations

• Collaborate closely with the team to support student success

  
  

What We're Looking For

• A genuine love for working with middle schoolers (grades 3–8) — no prior experience required

• Patience, flexibility, and a growth mindset — this is not a traditional school setting

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds

• Reliability and a team-first attitude; our small campuses depend on every person showing up

• Any background where you had to jump in, multitask, and get things done under pressure (retail, food service, customer service, etc.) is a plus, whether or not it involved kids

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; no college or education background needed

Base salary: $43,000/year
